How things started
I'm following on Steemit for a year now, at the time he was posting everyday Dtube videos in his garden and give useful informations about the Steem Blockchain in very simple terms, easy to understand for me.
I discover many systems and learn a lot about Steem because of him.
Few weeks ago he was asking if anyone was selling a mug on the Steem blockchain, I saw and opportunity to showcase my laser skills and replied straight away. Here is the post:

Few minutes later we were chatting on discord and he was telling me exactly what he wants:
- A cup with a mug shape
- Two logos : the Blockbrothers logo & the Steem logo
- The transaction will have to be done in Steem or SBD
Very straight forward
I replied by giving some important informations about laser engraving / etching:
- The mug will have to be the from the best quality of stainless steel available for the engraving to stains out.
- The mug will have to be polished, my laser have some hard time to engrave mirror surface.
We agreed on a deal in SBD, (easier for me to calculate the price) and sent me the
logo via email few minutes later and I was all set.
Find the perfect mug
I want explain how I did proceed in detail, I hope more entrepreneurs will come back on Steem and want to show people that it's all about opportunities.
I'm located in Taiwan and I've been looking for Stainless Steel items to engrave for a while even if I prefer to engrave metal plates in general (At the bottom of this post you will find links of my previous work).
So to find the perfect mug I searched on some local online shops.
I dismissed all the 304 stainless steel mugs, the reason is the poor quality of the 304 give a terrible result, at least with laser machine ...
Also I didn't go on China sites like Alibaba because you can never be sure the quality you gonna get at the end, dealing with a food related accessory it's a risk I'm not willing to take.
I've made a selection of mugs and send screenshots to , few mugs had very interesting shapes lol
I finally found a good one and we both agreed that the look is ok.
The mug have a simplel industrial design, made in Taiwan (I checked the factory) in 316 - food compatible Stainless Steel.
My assistant contacted the factory on Friday and believe it or not, the next Monday the salesman was in my office with a catalog and a sample. This is the beauty of working in Asia.
I sent a photo to for a last confirmation, and I order 10 mugs strait. I need a few extra for testing and find the best color combination.
Thanks a lot for reading,
SkarNoze
