Naziism and fascism is bad, But just because Antifa claims they are fighting Nazi-fascists it does not make their cause a good one.
This seems obvious to me.
Josef Stalin was the biggest Nazi killer of the 20th century. He is also known for killing millions of his own people and brutalized, oppressed, enslaved and terrorized tens of millions more. Just because he killed Nazis during WW2 (for self preservation, not principle) does not make him less evil at all.
This should be the end to the issue IMO.

It's ok if you think nazis are worse then Antifa but it does not make Antifa the "good guys".
Unfortunately life is not so simple. Disagreement on this point has corrupted politics for generations.
A large part of it is mental. It's common to think when groups of people are fighting with each other that they are complete opposites. This assumption overlooks the fact that most of the large wars in human history are created by minor differences.
Usually large scale tribal hatred is between two similar groups. In Europe the religious wars were usually the same culture and language fighting over the correct way to practice Christianity. The Muslims have the same thing going on with the Sunni–Shia ordeal. They were very much the same, fighting over minor differences.
In the 1920's the fascists and the communists were fighting for power in the streets of Germany and they had more in common with each other then they did with the majority of the liberal conservative German population at that time.
Its the same story over and over of the wannabe totalitarians and the violent radicals.
The KKK, Nazi, Radical-Right Are idiotic but at least they are up front about what they want and don't lie about it. They are very outspoken about the fact that they don't want anything to do with the American liberal conservative direction we have been going. Almost like the original Nazis they want to replace our culture, traditions and history with their racial ignorance.
The Antifa, BLM, Radical-Left have an agenda that is a lot alike in the way that they want nothing to do with traditional American liberalism. They don't think people should have the right to free speech, hate dissent, celebrate and promote violence, have no problem out right lying to push a narrative and conflate words as violence. Often they claim their physical violence is self defense because the spreading of ideas and using words they don't like equates to genocide.
Many liberals fall to the same sort of confusion that captured a lot of American liberalism in the 20th century. Because Antifa is the enemy of the KKK and Nazis they have to be the good guys right? No, They are not.

Can you not see how this stupid and pathetic argument that everything Antifa does is justified because they say they are fighting Hitler, bigotry, fascism, etc Is completely ignorant? For sake of the argument, What if everyone agrees that the KKK and the Nazis are worse then Antifa? What does it matter who is worse? When did not being as bad as the Nazis or the KKK turn into a moral accomplishment?
We are in a crazy tribal time in the world and the urge to back anyone that shares your enemies is strong but it is a morally corrupted impulse. You have the right to denounce totalitarians no matter what side they are on, even if they hate the same people you do.
