My pet jumping spider phiddipus audax decided to come out of her web sling to hunt. I found her earlier this month on my balcony window when it was cold outside.

I have her living in the enclosure that I use to store crickets for my other pet spiders.

In here she gets to pick which cricket she want to attack.

Here is the same pose but without a flash, she has bright orange spots on her abdomen. The largest spot is almost shaped like a heart. Eventually once she grows to full size this spot will turn white.

She has no distinct markings underneath.

Now she has chosen a victim.

What a content little face for such an acrobatic killer.

She is somehow eating a cricket twice her size on the side of the glass.

Hopefully the cricket didn't suffer long as she seems to have bitten it right in the neck. Their toxin isn't very harmful to humans but to a cricket I'm sure it is deadly. I'll keep her over the winter then release her back on to the balcony when it gets warm again to hunt aphids on my tomato plants.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
