Hello All!
As an engineer and designer, I see huge and untapped potential for Steemit and all Inovators, Tinkerers, and Makers alike.
I will soon have my introductory video posted as well. Also, soon you can check out the many things I've made and sneek a peak at the places I've traveled allong with a bit about the work I've done along the way (recently worked on Crew Dragon spacecraft for SpaceX!).
After browsing steem for awhile, it seems clear that we need categories and content geared towards the innovators and the startup community. A good example is how Kickstarter makes it easy for projects and startups to turn into products and businesses. The nature of Steem and the Steemit community allows a kind of social crowdfunding that would be a vastly superior resource for innovative ideas and products to take off as they should. Beyond starting up, Steemit also has the potential to be a direct marketplace for goods themselves.
I believe reaching out to developers directly is a good course of action, though a course of action needs to be developed along with clear goals. It is also important to show community agreement and support for ideas to be implemented successfully.
