I turned 34 last week and before last month if you asked me about block chain, 2nd layer tokens or liquidity pools, I’d just stare at you blankly and say - Ah! Sounds too complicated! It’s not for me.
But last month, Discord finally took me on a journey into the world of cryptocurrency and to say this ride has been incredible would be an understatement and a large (za) portion of that credit goes to the HIVE PIZZA community.
So whats Pizza?

My first real interaction happened when I participated in an event called “Last Man Standing” - It was about a bunch of people joining the voice channel in discord where it is locked after a certain time and everyone has to be active. If you go AFK or get disconnected for whatever reason, you lose.

This was the event where I first spoke to Beard - The Creator of Hive Pizza himself.
He explained to me what was the objective of Pizza - It is to be used as an onboarding step into the HIVE ecosystem - which offers so many brilliant things - where you can earn HIVE and so many of its other tokens like Oneup, PIZZA and many others, just for doing and posting about your favorite things.

Once I started exploring all this, I got to know how HIVE functions and it’s an incredible piece of technology that I feel you have to experience to understand the power and more importantly the simplicity of it.
And did I tell you that HIVE and PIZZA don’t have a gas fee to make transfers once you start earning it?
This is because it functions on a circular ecosystem where if you post content on the different websites like Peakd.com and ecency.com, you get paid in Hive which you can use to improve your Hive Power which ensures your Resource Credits are available when you need it to upvote and comment on others posts.
