There are many types of people in every city, the life system of the city goes on with different classes of people. Rich poor middle class all live under one sky. Some are happy, some are unhappy. I live in a city where most of the people are middle class and lower class. In terms of percentage, 30% rich, 40% middle class, 30% poor live in this city.
I am a resident of this city, I am staying in 40%. I was talking about Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Dhaka city is one of the busiest, most populated and polluted cities in the world. People from different parts of the country come to this city in search of jobs, to do business, to get good education. This has increased the population here. Pollution has increased with population. Air, water, noise pollution and other pollution levels are very high here.
My post today is about the black and white life of these poor people. Posted this for #Monomad challenge. I will try to post regularly in the black and white community. Will post on #monomad challenge. I feel very happy to be among the winners here. Because here I see pictures taken by many good photographers every day.
The life of these poor people is very difficult. The amount of money they earn by working hard here, most of it ends up in living, eating etc. They can send a very small amount of money to the family. Many people work daily and earn money every day, if the income stops one day, the food is also stopped that day. They have a hard life like this. Today's pictures will be shared according to the context. Each picture will have a different presentation.
lets begin
#1st
He is a rickshaw driver. They are the most hardworking people in Dhaka. They earn money by driving rickshaws on the streets of the city during the hot summer. The intense heat of the sun, the unbearable traffic, the bad behavior of the people, they bear everything.
A tired rickshaw puller is seen in this picture He sleeps on his rickshaw in the shade of a tree on the road, covering his head with a shirt.
It is the most neglected bird in this city. People can't stand crows. But this crow is reducing the pollution of the whole city. They are preventing pollution by eating the garbage of the city. I was sitting in a park in the afternoon and chatting. Then suddenly I went to take pictures, and the crow also came and sat at that moment.
This is a photo taken in a street in old Dhaka. A mother was bathing her little child. A big bowl of water was taken and the child was placed there, the child was playing with the water, while his mother was giving him a bath. This is the poor man's bathtub. I was also bathed like this when I was a child. In particular, I have seen not only poor people, but all classes of people, who bathe their children in this way. You can imagine yourself seeing this scene. Although we don't remember anything from that time.
Boat driver,
I went to Sadarghat a few days ago. I boarded a boat to go to Keraniganj from Sadarghat. Then I took a picture of this gentleman. He is a very good person. Had many chats with him. He shared many of his experiences, which made me wary of the area. Because there are many risky areas in this city. There are a lot of robbers, you have to be careful from them, already I have a camera, two phones were robbed.....I still can't get over that regret. He helped me a lot. I took this picture to keep his memory.
I often see such scenes on the streets of old Dhaka. Poor, crippled, the only occupation of most of such people is begging. They live by begging. They live a very difficult life.
But the context of this picture is different This woman has no hands, yet she is not begging. He earns his income by selling green chillies. He did not choose begging as his profession.
This woman deserves a lot of respect, but in this busy city no one cares about anyone else, everyone moves like everyone else.
It is a very magical picture. It makes me emotional. In this picture, a mother is lying on the street with her child, both fast asleep. Sleeping wrapped in a sheet. This is how the child will grow up under the shelter of its mother. It is the only place of peace. The only compassionate one is every mother.
This picture was taken in a market. A structure is being made of this bamboo to provide a plastic canopy over the market. Canopies are made in this way mainly for temporary markets.
