We are all on the platform for different reasons, some of us genuinely enjoy making posts and interacting with others, other people are here for a living to make money, and some are even here with dreams that the Steem currency will go to the moon. I can say without guilt that all three of the feelings are things that I think of when I go on Steem. My first and foremost feeling, however, is how much I love being able to have a voice with my own blog. As you can tell, a lot of my content is simply writing about things that I love; whether it be movies, music, or what is going on in my every day life. Besides writing about what I love, my next favorite thing is just talking and interacting on the platform with everyone! One can learn so much simply browsing through Steemit, or see amazing things by seeing some of the pictures posted by amazing photographers.
Anyways, I got off track there. I spend a lot of my freetime on Steemit, but the amount of freetime I have always varies. I understand how activity on the platform seems to ramp up when the price of the currency goes up, and a lot of people are dissuaded to participate as much since Steem is at a relatively low price. Members of the site who were here when the currency was simply pennies will tell you you are wrong. I can't say I was there at the time, but I can tell you this. Given the current price of Steem, people that want to earn a living from the site should not be dissuaded now! When Steem is at a lower price, your posts gain even more Steempower, which is perfect to powerup your account! People always talk about wanting to be a whale on the platform, but don't want to put in the work of creating top-tier content at the right times!
With all that being said, we all know how toxic it is to have members on the site who's ONLY purpose for being here is to game the system. Choose to be here because you actually want to be here, and your dreams will soon come true. The currency will shoot back up in no time, but for now let us be grateful that it is still worth as much as it is :)
