Welcome to the latest edition of the SoCal Steemit Visiting Hour post!

Every tuesday at 8pm Hive account@socalsteemit is doing a weekly voice and text chat for the members in our Discord server! Here we'll be giving a short summary of our previous chat and bring up potential topics for the next upcoming chat.

Last Nights Visiting Hour

In the last SoCal Visiting Hour we had Hive account@csusbgeochem1, Hive account@corinneiskorean, and myself (Hive account@derekrichardson) all join in the conversation! It seemed like it went quick (time flies when your having fun), but we talked about a ton of stuff. And I must admit that I did more talking than note taking for todays post. So... most of this will just be from memory. Hopefully I won't forget anything important.

I got the conversation started by talking about some of the exciting stuff I've been seeing on the videos from Hive account@steemfest! There are so many new projects happening on the Steem blockchain. The list is to long to list them all, but a few you might look into are the Hive account@steempeak interface, the Hive account@partiko mobile app, the new video capability on Hive account@steepshot, the Hive account@creativecrypto online magazine, the Hive account@musing decentralized Q&A platform, and the new Steem Keychain extension.

I'm sure I'm forgot something, but pretty much that's the recap for last night.

Next Tuesday

In next Tuesdays SoCal Visiting Hour I'd like to talk about ideas to continue building and supporting the Hive account@socalsteemit community. With the new projects we've been doing we've seen an increase in community participation and we'd love to see it continue to grow. Beyond that the floor is open to anything else any members would like to bring up and discuss! So again, it's tuesday at 8pm in the SoCal Steemit Discord server. If you are not equipped to voice chat or are a bit intimidated to get on a mic, feel free to come listen to the chat and communicate with the group through the corresponding text channel. We'd love to have everyone come join the conversation!!
