Just steps from my home, a place I pass daily and often has short line ups is a shop dedicated to fresh Salmon
Usually he has some already sliced and ready to go but it seems its been a busy day and I had to wait for him to slice salmon for other people before he could get to mine. Well worth the wait and he really does do a decent slicing job.
It's not a Japanese restaurant either, it's just a Chinese fresh fish shop, no seats or drinks, just fresh fish you can take home and eat raw it's so fresh, which I did.
Such careful precision, someone who truly cares about the art of slicing raw fish. He must have years of experience. He can do it rather quickly which I suppose is a must when you got a line up.
And then it comes with wasabi and soya sauce and ready to eat on the go. Not exactly the cheapest lunch as I will also to another nearby shop and get some chicken and rice, which is cheap. lol
It's tempting to eat this everyday as it's so good but I do know it's farmed and farmed salmon isn't all that healthy. You tell by the texture, wild salmon meat is a little more firm and less fatty as they spend their life swimming in rivers and fights ocean currents whereas farmed salmon pretty move simply to keep the water flowing through their gills.
Hope you hungry now
