I literally made a post 5 minutes ago at the time of writing this, replying to someone who was posting news shit and wondering why s/he wasn't getting views and money to go with that.
Then on that post commented, and, upon seeing their profile and their currently-only post, I'm awestruck by the sheer degree of the ... What would you call it? Evil? That seems far too dramatic and out of place...
Idiotic, I guess, methodology and means of interaction on steemit.
Because those of us who see the dream of steemit KNOWS that the actions of those who are plagerizing and spamming threaten the long-term sustainability of steemit.
It's for this reason that, while minds.com has a slower build-up, it might very well over-take steemit later, since it wouldn't be as likely to be weighed down with bullshit nonsense per the mindset of Make A Quick Buck Copy-Pasting Other People's Shit.
But, as one person commented on a comment that led to a post:
"Why are you spamming everyone? Please stop as you will be flagged as a spammer and ruin your reputation."
And so steemit is like eBay in that regard.
Hey. Don't be a retard.
Use steemit like you'd use facebook.
Or Fuck You.
Use steemit because you can hyperlink your posts and comments.
Ever wanted to use facebook and not treated like a minion?
Then use steemit.
At this point I pretty much want no-one to emphasize that you can make money with steemit, because the pricks are going wild, and while they'll be outed, it's still fucking goddamn annoying to watch and see.
So please:
If you're here strictly to make money, fuck off.
I'm here to converse and evolve our social mediums, and we won't get along.
