Hello
Everyone hope you all are doing fine. My days are going pretty good. Today's post is for the travel lovers. So lets get into it straight.
Thanchi means a different kind of love. The rugged trekking route, the Sangu river basin with the high hills on both sides, is bound to attract adventure lovers.
Without further description , let's go straight on the tour, From Dhaka we left for Bandarban on Wednesday 16th September in a group of 9 people. Fortunately, we got sit in a bus that took us to Bandarban, we are greatful.
Although we were supposed to reach Bandarban around 6 am, we could get off at Bandarban at 6:30 am due to the very humane behavior of the bus. Quickly finishing breakfast, we fixed a Chander Gari, and set off, for Thanchi.
This is my second visit to Thanchi, the route from Bandarban to Thanchi, bound to impress anyone. Rows and rows of hills on both sides, with the play of the clouds and the sun. We continue on the way to Thanchi with our heads out over the Chander Gari. But all together, we couldn't stand in the car, it can lose the balance of the car which, on a hilly road, is very dangerous.
Along the way, not all of us entered our names at the BGB checkpost. There is also a beautiful cafeteria there now, which I have not seen before. Their mango juice is very famous, but I have not tried it as a budget traveler.
By 12 noon we reached Thanchi, where our guide, Simian Dam, was already waiting for us. Quickly entering the name at Thanchi police station, we did not have our lunch, and set off by engine boat for the big rock Tindu. We took two boats, one with a maximum of five people, and everyone must wear a life jacket.
And hey, most importantly, from here your phone network will start to shrink, and in no time you will be entering another state without a network.
Within an hour, we reached Tindu, a big rock, through the high green hills on both sides of the Sangu. Here, the huge giant stones are bound to catch your eye. We got off the boat, prepare for the trek, leave the bags on the boat, We started trekking. Destination Liluk waterfall. I started to climb the dry hill. Climbing to the top was not the end. Our guide was guiding us to our destination.
As soon as we reached the top of the steep hill, the fountain appeared in front of us, but from a distance. Seeing the water of the fountain falling from a distance, I started moving forward with new vigor. Now it's time to climb down, so the suffering is less than before. After a total of two hours of trekking, we came to the front of Liluk waterfall.
There was enough water in the waterfall, and plenty of air with it. Our whole body got wet before we went near the waterfall. Liluk waterfall, one of the highest waterfall in Bangladesh. The magician of the waterfall did not want to get wet from there. But it was getting late, so we left. The former takes, trekking back to Tindu, where our boat was waiting. Now it's time to go to Remakri.
Whether it was evening or not, this boat journey at that moment was very exciting. After a while we reached Remakri. We'll be here tonight, everyone freshened up and went to the cottage. The cottage was quite neatly arranged. We talked to our guide, he had already fixed this cottage and the food.
Resting in the cottage, I went out to see the night of Remakri. There are a few small shops, where we have tea and biscuits and hang out at night. A few more locals with our guide also joined us. At the end of a pretty good chat, we had dinner and fell asleep. Because we had to get up very early in the next morning.
Day 2
Today is our last day, I can see the game of clouds on the top of the hill from the cottage very early in the morning. Today we will go to Nafakhum.
According to our previous plan, we were supposed to go to Nafakhum by trekking, and that's how we started our trekking. I also took a life jacket with me, and had a light breakfast. At the beginning of the trek, some local people said to take the boat, the water is a bit high. But we stuck to our previous decision, and kept trekking.
It is worth mentioning here that on the route from Remakri to Nafakhum, boats are not always available. When the water is a bit high, you can travel a lot by boat.
However, we continued to enjoy our trekking very well. The cold frosty wind of dawn, and the sound of the water taps of waterfall stream are bound to take you to another world. After trekking for an hour and a half, we came across a small waterfall, a tunnel-like path, and the location of the waterfall at the end of it. After cooling down for a while, there was a small hill shop next to the waterfall. After having some tea and breakfast, we set off again. After trekking for three hours, we reached Nafakhum, Niagara Fall in Bengal.
There was a lot of water in the fountain, we went down in the water with life-jackets. Quite a while, here we end our wsterfall luxury and head for Remakri. This time everyone in the group is bent over, I can't walk anymore, so on the way back I came back to Remakri Falls. I sat for about a couple of hours under the open sky in the midday sun.
I may not have noticed anything in the flow of cold water then, but when we set sail for Thanchi, we all felt a burning sensation in our hands and noses. All that remains to be understood is that Sun has barbecued our skin. Anyway, we moved to Thanchi, and after lunch, Set off for Bandarban in the Chander Gari. We had already booked a bus for Dhaka, so we left for Dhaka after dinner.
And this is how I ended the Thanchi campaign this time.
