There are many reasons why we need to keep having outreach programs such as, visiting the poor and needy, visiting motherless baby homes, orphanges, even the widows and poor old men and women in our societies.
These images below shows that there are lot of broke,poor and wretched kids out there. As we have kids, there are also old folks out there who are sufferring and living in poverty.
Some of us might be living large and lavishly. But let's not forget that there are millions of people out there who are suffering, starving and dying every day for lack of food, provisions clothing etc.
If we all see steemit as a platform that cares about the well being of the people, let us also take responsibilities of taking care of few people around us. If this great community has made a lot of broke guys become great and self dependent in life, let us also see to the well being of people in our community.
I believe an average steemian should be compassionte and have human feelings.
Don't just make money here for your self alone, but also consider your self responsible for taking care of two or more people around you.
