Train tracks are both endlessly clear and confusing. They are the clearest symbol of travel, of being on the road, imo. At the same time, they are confusing because they don't offer many options. It is clear that in order to travel, you must be on a train. You can't just walk, ride a bike, or travel in some other vehicle, the options an asphalt road offers, for example. If you go on foot, you will find yourself lost, you will end up in nowhere at some point, because that is usually how this transport is arranged. And yet, if you happen to be on the tracks just like that, without being on a train, these tracks make you dream. Especially the photographer, lost in a remote town at the end of the world in Bulgaria.

| Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
