Una grinch en extinción, esa soy yo y como no voy a cambiar, si en hive hay tantas iniciativas y temas que me hacen recordar cuando disfrutaba de la navidad, no puedo dejar de pasar la oportunidad de participar en esta Iniciativa Navideña 2022 🌲⛄️ de la comunidad

¿Cómo fueron las navidades de tu infancia?
What were your childhood Christmases like?
Fueron muy hermosas, en casa se decoraba con el árbol y siempre comíamos los platos tradicionales, dulces y salados hechos por mi mamá y mi abuela, se compraban los estrenos de ropa y zapatos para los 24 y 31, es que verdaderamente éramos ricos y no lo sabíamos.
Siempre llegaba el niño Jesús con los regalos que le pedía en mi lista, solo uno porque me preocupaba que se quedara sin dinero y no pudiera regalarle a los demás niños de todo el mundo, qué tonta fui tenía que pedir varios regalos para mí. 😜
Mis vecinos eran muy buenos, todos compartían sus hallacas y el 31 o más bien el 1 de enero salimos como si nunca nos fuéramos vistos a abrazarnos por el año nuevo y a darnos buenos deseos.
They were very beautiful, at home we decorated with the tree and we always ate the traditional dishes, sweet and savory dishes made by my mom and my grandmother, we bought the premieres of clothes and shoes for the 24th and 31st, is that we were truly rich and we didn't know it.
Baby Jesus always arrived with the gifts I asked for on my list, only one because I was worried that he would run out of money and I would not be able to give gifts to the other children around the world, what a fool I was, I had to ask for several gifts for myself. 😜
My neighbors were very good, they all shared their hallacas and on the 31st or rather the 1st of January we went out as if we had never seen each other to hug each other for the new year and give each other good wishes.
Do you miss anything from Christmas past?
Sí, extraño la alegría que había en casa, ahora todo somos mayores, nos duele hasta el juanete, hace falta la alegría de los niños, estoy esperando que mi hermano haga los sobrinos.
Y extraño que nos vistiéramos con ropa nueva, lo extraño.
Yes, I miss the joy that we had at home, now we are all grown up, it hurts our bunions, we miss the joy of the children, I am waiting for my brother to make the nephews and nieces.
And I miss that we used to wear new clothes, I miss it.
How do you usually celebrate Christmas and what particular traditions does your family have during this month?
Pedir deseos y soñar que se cumplieran algunas cosas me llenaba de ilusión los 31 de diciembre al despedir el año viejo, recuerdo como me atragantaba cada vez que comía una uva en un segundo, tratando de recordar el deseo que días antes había escogido, al final terminaba repitiendo los deseos y sobraban las uvas, esto que acabo de mencionar es una de las tradiciones navideñas que hay en mi país y la que más arraigo tiene mi familia, crecí viendo como mi abuela separaba las 12 uvas y entregaba a cada miembro de la familia su vaso con uvas para que pidieran sus deseos.
En la medida que pasaron los años, mejore la experiencia, le saque las semillas a las uvas 😆 y anote mis deseos clasificándolos en mundial, familiar y personal. Hoy en día, me enfoco a cerrar los ojos y pedir unos 3 deseos con toda la intención, la tranquilidad y el amor posible y se me van los últimos 12 segundos.
También realizamos la cena de noche buena o fin de año, esta debe tener la ensalada de gallina, hallaca, pernil, pan de jamón, debe haber vino y también algo dulce como el dulce de lechosa o una torta. Esta parte es la que más disfruto de la navidad.
Making wishes and dreaming that some things would come true filled me with illusion on December 31 when saying goodbye to the old year, I remember how I would choke every time I ate a grape in a second, trying to remember the wish that days before I had chosen, in the end I ended up repeating the wishes and there were grapes left over, I grew up watching my grandmother separate the 12 grapes and give each member of the family a glass of grapes so they could make their wishes.
As the years went by, I improved the experience, took the seeds out of the grapes 😆 and wrote down my wishes classifying them into global, family and personal. Today, I focus on closing my eyes and making about 3 wishes with all the intention, tranquility and love possible and I get the last 12 seconds off.
We also have the Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve dinner, this must have chicken salad, hallaca, pernil, ham bread, there must be wine and also something sweet like dulce de lechosa or a cake. This part is what I enjoy most about Christmas.
What do you like most about Christmas?
Me gusta lo bonitos que se ponen las cosas, las casas las arreglan, la ciudad la limpian y la decoran con luces y las personas también se motivan para lucir lo más presentable posible, me gusta que las personas se vuelven más detallistas y que todos desean el bien para los demás, en este aspecto quisiera que la navidad fuera eterna y siempre viviéramos en esta época.
Lo que más me gusta de la navidad es la comida, cuando me como una buena hallaca la de mi mamá, es como si llegara al cielo, no hay momento más placentero para mí en estas fechas.
I like how nice things get, the houses are arranged, the city is cleaned and decorated with lights and people are also motivated to look as presentable as possible, I like that people become more detailed and that everyone wants good for others, in this aspect I would like Christmas to be eternal and we always live in this time.
What I like most about Christmas is the food, when I eat one of my mom's hallacas, it's as if I were in heaven, there is no more pleasant moment for me at this time of the year.
What do you wish for this Christmas and for future Christmases?
Deseo para esta Navidad recibir la noticia del fin de la pandemia y de la guerra de Ucrania y Rusia. 🙏
Que el hive suba y que el dólar baje. 😆
Que mis seres queridos sigan con vida y salud y mis amigos igual.
Deseo para navidades futuras
Que mi familia se mantenga con vida, salud, prosperidad y unión, no deseo mucho, solo eso nada más.
