Oh man!
A Wedding is expensive! I had no idea! Did you guys know it costs an arm and a leg to get married :D
Well, I was certainly surprised, I knew it was a lot but I didn't know how bad it was.
Considering everything you got the food, the musicians, the services, the clothes, the dress, and everything... but it spooks an average guy like me, I mean I'm not rich... and the expenses spooked me as far as making me think about Powering Down!
Well, I reached the conclusion that I am NOT powering down...
Read below if you want to read a bit of a rant allied with my outlook on why you shouldn't power down...
I Was Shocked at How Expensive a Wedding Is!
Well, first of all, I was shocked at the price tag... I mean, I only became 30 last month and I am always with my head on the clouds, so even though I proposed last Christmas I didn't REALLY stop to think about how much I would have to raise and how fast.
The thing is I'm going to pay $95 per person, and I still have those extra expenses that aren't related with the venue or the food.
This means I will need to raise about $20,000 until May next year... which in Portugal is not that easy.
Now, I can't even cut the guest list any more because it is only family and about 3-4 friends tops... but I have a big family and you know they'll get pissed at each other if some parts of it aren't invited, even if I don't get along too well with those said parts - people will think badly of it...
... you know how families are, the older members would lynch me.
Why I Won't Power Down:
So... why am I not powering down?
I have roughly 2.4K STEEM Power... If I were to cash out 2000 STEEM, at current prices, I would make $7400 which would be a HUGE boon... it would really get me up there and with more breathing space.
Well, on the other hand, that would mean I'd have to pull the plug on the people I delegate to, and stop supporting projects I love.
Finally, it would also mean my vote would be worthless and I wouldn't be able to add to the community.
I would become someone NOT invested in the future of STEEM, and I can't have that happen.
I will NOT power down... I'm in this for the long run and I believe in the good of this blockchain.
My adopted minnows will stay adopted, 
Not only that, I have no SP now because 100% is delegated until it comes back in a couple of days - and I have been a CRAPPY member of the STEEM blockchain society this week thanks to not being able to vote.
In fact, I think most of you guys would stop visiting me if this was to go on and I don't blame you... I'd be someone who just leeches, leeches, leeches... or maybe I just don't WANT to be that guy.
Either way, I got a plan, and that goes hand to hand with the belief that I will be rewarded for this.
Why? Steem will rise!
I Believe I Will Be Rewarded:
It is my belief that my persistence, hard work and commitment to the blockchain will have me rewarded.
I believe that by continuing to delegate to promisor users, I will see their stake grow, they'll do the same and trigger the trickle down economy my Spiritual Brother 
Not only that, I also believe that my 2.4 SP will grow with my investment of time, networking and work on the blockchain and compound.
Finally, the STEEM price will rise, I'm sure of it... if all else fails it will rise when the next hardfork comes and stuff starts to happen faster again. (Thanks to SMT and Automatic Signups).
Finally, I believe that the content rewards I'll get until the beggining of next year will help me get to where I need to be, or at least close.
Here's The Plan: Now Fingers Crossed!
So, here's the plan.
I will continue to have all my SP behind me and those I support. I will continue to publish articles daily and invest in the growth of the blockchain.
I'll continue to think and implement ways to grow not only the community of great people I have around me but the blockchain itself because I believe that cooperation is key.
Lastly, there's something I also planned, and I want to apologize for it... but I will take the SBD part of the rewards out for now.
The rewards in SP will stay here and grow my stake and weight, but the SBD part... It hurts to say it but I'm needing it right now, otherwise I can't raise the $20K in time.
Finally, I'm going to do the same for the

I will leave the SP part to grow the account. I would have PMed you if I knew about a way to do it.
In Conclusion
So, I will NOT power down, but I will take the SBD part of the rewards for the time being.
I will keep having a big chunk of my SP delegated and I will keep on supporting everyone I feel adds to the blockchain.
I never ever took even 1 SBD out, but the time has come, I have the woman of my dreams hoping that everything runs smoothly... and STEEM WILL ALLOW IT to run just so!
Heck, if the price keeps rising I may only be doing this for a couple of months.
EDIT: It just went up more.... 4500 SBD would be enough at these prices... this gives me great hope :D Continue rocketing!
