Walking, Biking, Skating - What do you call it? Wheeling? Sure. Why not?
We were wheeling around at Puerto Madero as part of a hot summer afternoon, me on my NinebotOne, my kids on their Airwheels.
Places to Go and Things to See
Puente de la Mujer - commonly referred to as "The Woman Bridge"
Buenos Aires, Argentina - a port city where the original colonial port was outgrown and turned into restaurant alley. There are corporate offices and towering banks on the water, backed by high-rise apartments constantly being built.
Weekends bring out everyone and their toys like a giant playground of fun.
My children are 12 and 15 - they have their own "wheels" and we cruise past the crowds and over the grass on our suit-case size motorcycles. We did 13km including the ride to Puerto Madero.
We were all over the map.
I think this is the first time we went completely end to end. This weekend it's off-road - hoping to hit the Reserva Ecologica Costanera Sur (Nature Reserve - South Coastline) which plays the part of a back yard for the luxury apartments.
Note: I had to ride to Puerto Madero, so I am not in that league as of yet.
The idea was to go to dinner at Fridays, which is the only place that serves American food. The round about journey took us all around the port. We finally ate dinner, then took a ride past the casinos and home.
If you saw my last post, you saw me riding my NinebotOne. Here is what it looks like on board. Let the good times fly!
You will note all the graffiti in the video. You can't beat it so.
No, I don't paint everything. But, I do like to shoot it. Taking pictures of the art around me is one of my hobbies.
What do you do when you run across a giant head?
My kids? Well, of course you have to climb it.
The port. End to end.
This is the place of the Merchant Marine's memorial with a view of the entire Puerto Madero area, but it also has it's own little disaster. Sad to think that people would toss plastic bottles over board. They have started to gather and dispose of trash, but this is only the part you can see. What's under the surface? The rivers here are not all as well cared for as the port!
Hours of tricks and stunts. TGI-Fridays time!
My boys were born in Argentina. They speak both languages but have never been to the USA.
When we go out to Fridays, it's Fajitas, Bacon Burgers, Wings and Ribs.
I usually hear "Dad, if chickens are the same in both countries, why do the wings taste different?"
It's American food.
