Kenya Safari rally's now officially launched. I wrote about their intention to run a WRC rally again and Kenyan Government gave the organizers around 1.5m GBP for preparation of it.
Now we had an official visit of the FIA president Jean Todt who opened a rally's office at Kasarani.
Just to remind you that highest WRC officials visited Croatia when our FIA body wanted to run a candidate rally for a WRC calendar. And after all, nothing happened.
But Kenya Safari Rally has a long history and tradition and it seems that something can be from the whole thing.
'Money turns the world around', they say and in motorsport it is more then in any other sport because if you want to compete, you need a car that costs big money.
So, in my opinion, Kenya Safari Rally has the big chance to come back to the World Rally Championship in 2020.
