I usually post about gold or silver since I am part of the #silvergoldstackers community.
I had something happen recently that I thought they would like reading about. Actually anyone reading this might like the story.
I am not the type to post on facebook or anything like that for attention, I am not even posting here for attention I am just using #inleo and #hive as an outlet like I have done many times in the past.
So last week, I had to run out to do some quick shopping. Went to one place to pick up a few things, annoyed about a few things happen in there, not a big deal.
Then I sped off to the second place, got there literally 5 minutes before they closed, all good.
Went home, dropped everything off, but went out to grab a coffee…
Got to the coffee shop and realized I did not have my wallet… I figured I must have left it in my bag, not the first time
Instead of going home to get my wallet though, I happened to have a free hot drink from McDonald’s since I had gotten something from there like two weeks ago and since they have their monopoly event going on.
So I figured well might as well go get my free drink tonight since it is the same distance as going home…
Got my drink, enjoyed it, had my night, went to bed…
It is the next morning when I realized that my wallet was not in my bag.
Uh oh!
I look through the bag, doing things we all do, like looking in the areas I would never put my wallet, but I look… then, I go to my car, look everywhere, between the seats, pulled the seats back and forth, had my phone out with the flashlight on….
Oh no… is it gone?
I panicked and actually hopped in the car and went to the last place I used my wallet… went to the three shops in the area, spoke with them all… the last person I spoke to even said “whats your name” my heart jumped! I tell her my name, nope, they don’t have any wallets…. Why did you even ask my name!! Anyways…
So at this point, I am upset, I lost my wallet. Not only was there so much cash in there, the wallet was expensive, and worst of all, I was annoyed about having to get a new license, new bank cards, new all that…
Then, I had a weird instinct… a very strange push to look at Facebook’s messenger app.
I am telling you… I do NOT use my Facebook.. I do not have my face on my facebook, and I definitely do not use their messenger app.
But, I click it. I see a notification on the “message request” section.. thats when I knew it, I knew someone found it.
I was right!! Someone messaged me saying “did you lose something”?
Not too long later I am at this man’s house, and he tells me where he found my wallet.
So the guy was a nice man I would say in his late 30’s early 40’s, married, 2 kids… nice little house, two Toyotas in the driveway, well groomed, nice Prada jacket… definitely has his head on his shoulders.
So get this, he found it at the coffee shop. I was at the coffee shop around 9:20pm thinking I forgot my wallet, it must have fallen out of my pocket or car and I didn’t realize.
The wallet then sat there for three hours, until this man found it.
He found it in perfect condition, all my cash and cards inside…
I am so lucky it wasn’t raining, it wasn’t run over, and that some animal didn’t find it. And by animal I mean someone who takes the cash, takes the cards and goes on a shopping spree.
I was lucky an honourable gentleman found it and tried to find the owner. I offered the man a crisp $50 bill and I insisted a whole bunch but of course he didn’t accept.
Look at this wallet, first of all it’s beautiful lol, but it’s black as hell. The wallet being pitch black is probably the reason no one noticed it for 3 hours. By the way before you judge me, I got this wallet since I wanted a high quality wallet that I can keep forever for the longest time. If I wanted to show off I wouldn’t do it with a wallet, let alone a black wallet that no one can really see unless they are up close. If I wanted to show off I would have gotten the original brown colour LV wallet or those super bright blue ones (which are actually super nice ironically)
I am super lucky, I can’t believe I actually lost my wallet but the fact someone found it, returned it in mint condition EXACTLY the way I lost it… that man gained so much positive karma and honestly I should probably go to the casino lol
