Wood Duck Ducklings

Such cute little feathered creatures these Wood Duck ducklings are! It's hard not to point a camera at them and capture their behaviour :) If they're not hunting down bugs, they're doing some preening or trying to have a nap :) The mother ducks are always on high alert, and one can only admire their dedication!

I love the little chirping noises these ducklings make, wherever they go, they make that sound. I guess it's a way for the mama duck to keep track of them, but it also gives away their location to any hungry predators! You can hear a young lady say "Oh they're so cute, I want one" and I have to agree :)
