the fourth season of Hivechess tournaments started with 12 players and a very strong field, the average rating was 1887 (third highest so far!).
Hive account@sawko (sawkito) was the winner with 7,5 points out of 9, he was only once defeated (by his brother 
Hive account@vjap55!) - Congratulations! 0,5 points behind him were 
Hive account@jaki01 (2nd) and 
Hive account@yazp (zulukill) (3rd), only separated by the tie break. Of note, Hive account@yazp had the highest average opponent (1978) and the highest tournament performance of the day (2292)! The 4th place went to 
Hive account@zacherybinx (sirtetris) and behind him 3 players had the same points, but a different tie break: Hive account@vjap55 (5th), myself (6th) and 
Hive account@pereu4ivatel (drakOnb) (7th). The last tournament point 
Hive account@schamangerbert (HerbyW) could grab, closely ahead of 
Hive account@maciejficek (XM9000). He and 
Hive account@rafaelaquino (ajedrezclub2t) had some initial internet problems, like so often in Venezuela. Nevertheless chess in Venezuela seems to be very popular, we had 4 players from this country yesterday !
