Ant Financial, an affiliate of Alibaba, launched the new payment system only by face. This payment system makes cash, credit cards to smartphones look increasingly outmoded.
Reported from CNN, this system was first applied in KFC, which in China better known as KPro. If the scanning machine assesses your face to match the data in the system, then you simply enter the phone number and payment is complete.
Ant claimed KFC became the first restaurant in the world to apply advance payments. They also ensure that this technology is safe for the community.
"We hope someday people can travel without worrying if their cell phone or wallet is left behind," said Ant Li's Financial Product Manager Dong Liyun.
Ant is not the only company that launches payments with face scan. Where, Baidu also do the same. However, the scale is still narrow that is only limited in the canteen headquarters.
Baidu has also tested the registration of tourists in Wuzhen with this face scan system. In the future, Baidu plans to join KFC to implement the scan scanning system.
