Did you know that 80% of people on Steemit underestimate the power of cooperation and community?
A huge amount of people on Steemit (at least 80%) underestimate the power of cooperation and community.
Even those who join Discord communities aren't aware what kind of missed opportunities they are missing out there.
About a month and a half after I joined the first Creative Writing Challenge was organized. Participants were excited and I was happy, but I wasn't aware what I'm actually doing. Months later I joined The Writers Block on Discord and found people talking about me and the challenge. At that very moment I finally understood that people really paid attention to what I'm doing here.
Today I see people doing trying to organize a contest or an initiative, but they lack some kind of support and often they disappoint. It shouldn't happen, but it actually happens, because in general our nature is week and we often depend on external approval.
Make a step further...
The main ingredient for getting the support and overcoming any type of disappointment is making few steps further. I started with few unsuccessful attempts for contests while trying to find my niche here. What I discovered later is the impact of persistence.
If you get signals that people are interested in what you are doing and if you keep doing it supporters will arrive and you'll evident the foundation of your small circle of followers that regularly start checking what you are doing or participate in your initiatives.
They will start checking your profile even if your content doesn't pop up on their feeds that often.
Even though this is an entry for the Curious Facts contest #5 by , I'd finish with info about two other initiatives you might find useful:
The My-Niche Contest #1 for people looking to discover their own niche.
