#1 TRAVELMAN TANGALLE BEACH, SRI LANKA: Master Negotiator and Scam Spotter
takes us to Tangalle Beach in Sri Lanka. As everyone who has frequented hostels, sometimes your dorm-mates are not the most considerate people. Coming back in the middle of the night, whilst making as much noise as possible. In a little force of petty revenge (that I entirely understand), in the early morning whilst leaving he makes it his mission to leave with as much noise as possible. Dropping stuff, clanging around in his locker. After checking out it's time to take the bus to Tangalle. Bus rides tend to be quite the adventure in itself, with the drivers racing around and blasting Sri Lankan music full blast. After a hard search for an accommodation and an almost scam with possibly drugged tea, I think it's fair to say, it was a rough couple of days. Nonetheless,
seems to see the humor in the situation, as always!
#2 Ireland & the back arse of nowhere #11: Ring of Kerry
takes us to the Ring of Kerry in Ireland. Deciding on a bus tour to go around the ring in one day. First attraction up is a shepherd, showing us all his shepherd tricks. It's definitely more a show than a real representation of the life a shepherd though. After that it is time to see some of the amazing views Kerry has to offer. Unfortunately,
realizes that it might be better to do the ring hiking or in your own car at your own pace, as by taking the bus you miss a lot of the good views and spend way too much time driving around, instead of enjoying. Not that all is bad though, in the village Sneem we find a nice little spot all to ourselves, and the so called Ladies View where the bus stops holds incredible views of the peninsula.
#3 Cinque Terre
takes us to Cinque Terre, Italy. These five little villages are now a well known tourist destination - and with good reason. Unable to hike between the villages due to the weather,
decides to take the train between the villages and a long the coast, which is lovely as well. From Monterosso - which holds the best beach of Cinque Terre to Vernazza with its cobbled streets and colorful houses. Cornelia is completely different from the other villages, sitting atop a cliff, with vines and orchard gardens. Than we still have Manarola - similar to Vernazza, but with a cool viewpoint - and Riomaggiore - the biggest of the five villages - to enjoy!
