Bob Marley
Robert Nesta Marley was a popular Jamaican singer and songwriter, he could be said be a Legend of Reggae music which he blended with ska and rocksteady that lead to him gaining international fame and acclaim. He was a hardcore Rastafarian that believed that cannabis was a spiritual factor to religious growth and connection to Jah and also considered it an aid to medication which prompted his continuous use of the herb. His stellar career was however cut short when he was diagnosed with acral lentiginous melanoma in 1977 which claimed his life on 11th of May 1981 in Miami at age 36.
Popular songs
Even though I hadn't been given birth to at the prime of his career and before his death, I grew up to know Marley and listened to some of his famous songs which left me with goose bumps and saturated me with the thought of ....(how I wish I was opportune to watch him perform live).
Some of his songs I listened to while I was younger were;
No woman no cry (Live 1975)
Redemption song (Uprising 1980)
One Love (Exodus 1977)
Buffalo Soldier (Confrontation)
Get up stand up (Burnin 1973)
Is this Love (Kaya 1978)
A portrait I made of the musical legend
