We don't have pictures of Krakow... YET... let's get some. Together
announced
was doing a photowalk... truth is it's with the entire
team and there are THREE OPTIONS. Why 3?... because we're all photographers and we're gonna do them anyway.
THE THEME
The theme will be "seeing beauty every where around you"
will lead the photwalks but every team member will be able to help out.
I have done these often and have taught and mentored successfully many photographers over the years. These aren't classes but I'm happy to have you walk away with the most important photography ability of them all... changing the way you see things around you to see a world full of beautiful potential.
CELL PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY?
With that said those with Cell Phones only are very welcome... the friday option may be a bit tougher but you'll still get a lot out of it.
PLAN and MESSAGE
The photowalks are open to all... Use our discord to ask questions and plan for the meetings. we'll all have our phones on us and checking discord. https://discord.gg/Fy3bca5
just another street in europe
WHY GO
These are free and relaxed activities they appeal to:
- People who love taking pictures
- Seeing the sites
- Chatting with and asking questions of the
team
- Learning photography (more about this at the end of the post)
EASIEST OPTION - THURSDAY SUNSET
This will a quicky and will start right after the state of the dApps presentation and we will be walking around the immediate area surrounding the conference.
Look for or just some big cameras. This option is good for anyone wanting to join for any amount of time... you can ditch the group and make it back to any presentation you want to get back to. Just come see what we hope is a nice sunset and learn to take ARCHITECTURE and STREET photography... maybe get a portrait taken.
HARDCORE OPTION - FRIDAY SUNRISE
Yep we're grabbing our tripods meeting up really early after a long night going across the river from the Castle and getting a twilight and sunrise shot across the water with what we expect to be a beautiful reflection.
Meet at the golden tulip at ... or just find the people with the tripods across the river from the castle.
SCHEDULE:
- 5:45am leave from Golden Tulip Hotel
- 6-6:10am aim to be at the place to start taking pictures with tripod (or balanced on posts/ground) Other's may lend a tripod
- 6:43 sunrise ... around this time you won't need a tripod.
- 7-8 walk around the area which is close to day 2 of the conference... maybe grab some breakfast together.
SEE EVERYTHING PHOTOWALK - SUNDAY MORNING
8-10am This won't be a sunrise photowalk... we will be trying to hit all the main sites from the castle to the plaza and just taking pictures of everything we see along the way. The whole team won't be there but will lead this starting from the hotel Golden Tulip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the plaza but we'll take at least 90 minutes getting lost and stopping along the way.
Try to aim for 7:50am at the hotel as it may be hard to find us along the walking route.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
and
will be at Auschwitz and the Mines... feel free to ask photography questions (and steempeak questions of course)
We're also considering doing a car ride to a monastery for thursday morning for sunrise so message us if you are even more hardcore and want more details about that.
Friday morning will be something like this... hopefully better
LEARNING PHOTOGRAPHY
I won't speak for the others but since it was my () initiative to lead these I'll say that I'm very happy to give tips and spark some creativity. These will be casual activities but if you have any photography questions let me/us know. I am more interested in helping you think like a photographer but if you have a camera question i'll still help... just let it be known that knowing buttons doesn't make you a photographer.
Don't mistake "understanding your camera" with the art of capturing beauty with said tool.
Having a nice camera is fun ... but it's like steempeak... just because you have the best Steem tools at your disposal it doesn't make you an amazing blogger/writer. It just gives you the power to do it easier and faster.
CANDID PORTRAITS
Just putting it out there i'll likely get random portraits of most of the people that join. I've photographed people as a full time profession for 10+ years... i'm pretty ok at it. haha
Final Note... things are open to change so keep up to date on Discord.
