It is about to be a wild one in Las Vegas today! The UNLV Runnin Rebels play against the Nevada Wolf Pack. The game tips off at 2pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on the CBS Sports Network. The game is being played on UNLV’s home court, the Thomas & Mack Center. Nevada is a 4.5 point favorite and the over/under is 163.5 points.
Even though this is a home game for the Runnin Rebels, they find themselves the underdogs. They are playing a very good Wolf Pack team. But the home court advantage will be a strong one today. The building will be rocking and the fans will be loud. It is one of the best sports atmospheres on the planet. Brandon McCoy is coming off of a 23 point and 12 rebound game against Air Force yesterday. It took UNLV an extra period to get the job done but they finally pulled away in overtime.
The Nevada Wolf Pack are having one of their programs best years ever. The Martin twins have been phenomenal this season and very difficult to defend against. They are the main reason that Nevada has spent some time in the top 25 including their current ranking of 22.
Today’s game is going to be a good old fashion shootout. The over/under being over 160 means the experts on the Las Vegas strip expect both of these teams to be scoring in the 80s. This is the third match-up this season between these high powered squads. They split their previous two meetings. Buckle up, as this should be a fast one!
