The Golden State Warriors host the Houston Rockets tonight in the 2018 Western Conference Playoffs in a win or go home game for the Warriors. Tip off is set for 8pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on TNT. It will take place at ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California. The Warriors are huge favorites at -11.5 and the over/under is 212 points.
The Houston Rockets have the Warriors exactly where they want them. Well, sort of. They took a 3-2 series lead after a fantastic game on Thursday night. But the bad news is that their super star point guard, Chris Paul, pulled his hamstring and is out tonight and possibly for the year. It will take an enormous effort from James Harden and company to pull off the road win tonight. He will have to go for 40+ points and Eric Gordon and/or Trevor Ariza will need to catch fire from the 3 point line.
The Golden State Warriors have a simple game plan tonight. Score and score often. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson will be very aggressive shooting the deep ball and Kevin Durant will look to bounce back after two bad performances. The Warriors home crowd will give them a big lift as well.
I honestly don’t see how the Rockets can escape tonight with a series win. But time will tell, it should be a good one. Game 7 will be on Monday night if the Warriors win tonight.
