It's a bit brisk out there, but I had chores to do.
See this post by about dealing with people who are really milking the Steemit system. When they are paying 100s of SBD for votes it's not just about a bit of exposure. If we can coordinate to set up some accounts that just flag abusers then we can delegate to them.
has already done this and come under attack for it. I don't mind losing curation rewards if I can help to ensure the post rewards are distributed better to good quality posts and not just the same few people. I see some big accounts have voted up the posts Uwe highlighted. Maybe they just follow what the bots do, but I would think they would rather be seen to support better posts.
Once again, I'm not attacking all the minnows who buy a small vote to get something and get visibility. This is about people buying votes worth $100s. I can imagine a bidding war breaking out and then it may be even less viable to do this for most.
Even if you don't flag you can support the good content that is not getting recognised. Ignore the Trending page. The big people there are unlikely to follow you. Find those who share your interests and leave them good comments. Build communities around what you are into. I am doing this with music and running. It makes Steemit more fun for me.
Steem on!
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
If this post is over seven days old you can vote up one of my newer posts to reward me.
