Hello everyone, tonight I'm going to show you how I made a brooch using a metal soda can tab. So if you see one lying around, don't throw it away! Instead, make a brooch out of it and you'll have a unique and personalized brooch, and you'll also be helping the environment, since I've noticed that it's a somewhat difficult material to get rid of, so giving it a second life is a great option. Let's take advantage of these kinds of materials!
Materiales/Materials
- Esmalte de uñas color negro
- Brillo de uñas
- Silicón líquido
- Un alicate de bisutería
- Un alfiler de gancho
- Una argolla
- Una lija
- Un dibujo o etiqueta
- Black nail polish
- Nail polish
- Liquid silicone
- Jewelry pliers
- Safety pin
- Jump ring
- Sandpaper
- A drawing or label
Paso a paso/Step by step
Paso 1
Step 1
Start by sanding the base of the sheet metal so that the enamel would adhere better, then apply the black enamel to cover the entire base of the sheet metal, and then let it dry completely.
Paso 2
Step 2
Then proceed to place the label, applying a little liquid silicone to ensure it adheres well, and let it dry completely.
Paso 3
Step 3
Next, I attached the jump ring that would hold the pin to the metal plate. I bent it into a curve and then placed it in the middle of the pin. With that in place, I used pliers to bend the middle part of the metal plate so that it would hold the jump ring securely in place.
Paso 4
Step 4
And as a final touch, I applied a layer of gloss to give it a shinier look and a bit more durability.

And just like that, friends, my brooch is ready! Now all that's left is to attach it to my bag. I personally love brooches, patches, and keychains, especially to personalize my bags. Where would you put yours? I'd love to read your comments about what you think of this recycling idea.
