Bitcoin expert, Andreas Antonopoulos recently came out with a new video in which he explains that he doesn't buy Bitcoin, he earns Bitcoin.
This got me thinking quite deeply on the whole idea of work, jobs, money and the future. We are programmed to think, "I need to get a job", which basically means, I need to find a job where someone will pay me US dollars. Andreas' video, shown below, shook up my mind and made me realize that it is possible to work for Bitcoin, Steem and other currencies. In fact the whole reason I know about Bitcoin is because of Steem. I think our ideas about work truly need to shift, and I recognize in myself that there is a lot of fear and resistance around this concept. We as humans are conditioned to be afraid of the unknown.
Here's his video:
When we think a little more deeply about what Andreas said, we begin to understand that we have the option to enter a new world today, one that will become more mainstream in the future.
If you think about your own energy, talents and skills as raw energy, able to move in any direction, you'll realize you can decide to earn Bitcoin, Steem, etc. Why not take advantage of one of the most energizing movements in the world before it gets over-popularized and mainstreamed? Opportunities that have huge growth potential usually are not available to the common person. In the digital currency world, there are massive opportunities and it begins with trading your energy for digital currency. (I'm not a fan of using the word, cryptocurrency, as I feel it scares away most regular folks.)
I did some research and found some sites where you can earn Bitcoin because I was thinking it would be smart to diversify my income a little. Of course, the recent spike in Bitcoin's price fueled this new idea. Also, getting a Trezor really made a difference in thinking as well. You can read my review of the Bitcoin hardware wallet Trezor here.
Here's a list of sites that pay in Bitcoin:
I used Supload but couldn't figure out how to have it display images on Steemit. I know there's a workaround, but the workaround requires people to click on the link to get paid. If anyone has a concrete solution to using Supload on Steemit, let us know.
SUPLOAD https://supload.com/ where you can upload your images and earn based on how many people view your images.
And Amanda Johnson recommends the following sites:
XBTFreelancer https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/ I checked out this site and learned about one person who used it. There are escrows built in to make sure you don't get scammed.
Cryptogrind https://www.cryptogrind.com/ Bitcoin freelance site.
Jobs4Bitcoins https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/ This is a subreddit.
Amanda has written an article giving you the scoop on these 3 sites: https://news.bitcoin.com/3-websites-bitcoin-paying-freelance-jobs/
It would be ideal, in the future to have a list of Steemian employers who pay in Steem. If anyone has any info on this, please comment below.
If you've used any of these sites, please comment below to tell about your experience.
On a side note, the photo of Andreas is from a Bitcoin Betting site. Maybe Steemit betting people can use it as a model for a Steem-based betting site: https://www.betmoose.com/
