Hello to everyone in this community and fellow craft lovers! Today I'm going to show you a simple craft I made to take to the craft fairs I've been attending. It's a stress reliever, similar to Pop-It toys—those toys that pop bubbles like bubble wrap (I have one of these, and I admit it does calm me down). I have a lot of tutorials and ideas saved for things I'd like to make, so it's great to have the materials and finally be able to put some of those tutorials into practice 😉
I fell in love with this craft after stumbling across some examples online, but they were all crocheted. Since I don't know enough to do it with that technique yet (I can barely crochet a couple of shapes 😅), I thought I could use scraps of fabric to make my stress relievers. The key to this craft is hair clips or bobby pins that make a soft popping sound when you open and close them, creating that bubble-popping sensation 😝 I got a pack of large clips at a great price and decided to dedicate a small amount to making these little things.

As I mentioned, I used fabric, but you can cover the hair clip with crochet or even felt. First, I made a pattern from the crochet hook and cut two pieces of fabric, adding details depending on the shape I was sewing. In this case, since I was making a little dog, I cut the shape for its ears on the top piece.
Before joining the two pieces, I first hand-embroidered what would be the puppy's face. It's a fun part because you can make any expression you want; I tried to do it with its tongue sticking out 🐶 Once I did this, I joined the two pieces of the puppy's body and started sewing all around the edge, using a hand stitch that allowed me to close it up nicely. I also added a small tag with the initial of my brand name Suecitos.
Before finishing the sewing, since the design seemed too simple and lacking in color, I decided to add a bow. I made it from a small piece of fabric and then sewed it onto what would be the dog's neck. Once I added the bow, I continued sewing, leaving an opening to insert the hook and finally closing the piece.
And that's it! ✨ As you can see, the process isn't rocket science, haha. I would have loved to do it with a sewing machine, but the ones I have here aren't precise enough for small pieces, so everything was hand-sewn, which took me hours... not something I'd want to do every day 🙃

As expected, one wasn't enough, so I made six little animals: a cat, a dog, a rabbit, a fish, a bear, and a frog. It was a fun process, since I didn't know how I was going to make each animal, and when I finished, I really liked how each one turned out. Depending on how the public receives them, I might make more elaborate ones in the future.

The sound isn't clear in the GIFs, but once you press the "little thing," it will make the characteristic "pop" sound (when the clasp opens). Doing the same on the other side will make it pop again (closing the clasp). If you're like me and need something in your hand when you're out and about or feeling stressed, carrying a stress reliever in your pocket can be a great option 😇

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de las manualidades! El día de hoy vengo a mostrarles una manualidad sencilla que elaboré para llevarla a los bazares a los que estoy asistiendo. Se trata de un antiestrés, cumpliendo la función de los Pop it, esos juguetes que se semejan a reventar las burbujas de un plástico de burbujas (yo tengo un juguete de estos y admito que si me calma). Tengo guardados muchos tutoriales e ideas de cosas que quisiera hacer, por lo que es gratificante tener los materiales y por fin, poner en practica alguno de esos tutoriales 😉
Quedé enamorada de esta manualidad luego de toparme con algunos ejemplos por internet, sólo que los mismos, estaban realizados con crochet. Como aún no sé lo suficiente como para hacerlo con dicha técnica (apenas sé tejer un par de figuras 😅), pensé que podría utilizar trozos de tela para elaborar mis antiestrés. Lo primordial para esta manualidad, son unos ganchos u horquillas para el cabello que al abrirlos y cerrarlos, hacen un ligero sonido, semejante a un "pop" y es lo que genera esa sensación de reventar una burbuja 😝 Yo conseguí un paquete de ganchos grandes a muy buen precio y pensé en dedicar una pequeña cantidad a hacer este tipo de "cositos".

Como mencioné, yo utilicé tela, pero se puede realizar el proceso de forrado de la horquilla con un tejido de crochet o hasta con fieltro. Primero que nada, saqué un patrón del gancho y con el mismo, corté en tela dos piezas, agregando detalles dependiendo de la figura que estuviera cosiendo; en éste caso, como iba a elaborar un perrito, en la parte superior hice la forma que correspondería a sus orejas.
Antes de unir ambas piezas, primero bordé a mano lo que sería la carita del perrito. Es una parte divertida porque podemos hacer las expresiones que queramos; yo traté de hacerlo con la lengua afuera 🐶 Una vez que hice esto, uní las dos piezas del cuerpo del perrito y comencé a coser por todo el borde, utilizando una costura a mano que me permitiera cerrar muy bien. Aproveché de colocar una pequeña etiqueta con la inicial del nombre de mi marca Suecitos.
Antes de terminar de coser, dado que el diseño se me hacía muy simple y falto de color, se me ocurrió colocarle un lazo, el cual realicé con un trocito de tela y posteriormente, cosí en lo que sería el cuello del perrito. Una vez que agregué el lazo, continué cosiendo, dejando una abertura para introducir el gancho y finalmente, cerrar la pieza.
Y listo ✨ como pueden ver, el proceso no tiene mucha ciencia jaja Me hubiera encantado hacerlo a máquina de coser, pero las que tengo aquí, no son lo suficientemente precisas como para trabajar con piezas pequeñas, así que todo fue elaborado con costura a mano, lo cual me llevó a estar horas en ese proceso... no es algo que me gustaría hacer a diario 🙃

Como era de esperarse, uno no me fue suficiente, así que elaboré seis animalitos: Gato, perro, conejo, pez, oso y rana. Fue un proceso divertido, pues no sabía cómo iba a hacer para lograr hacer cada animalito y al finalizarlo, me gustó mucho el resultado de cada uno. Depende de cómo sea el recibimiento de parte del público, puede ser que realice unos más elaborados en el futuro.

En los gifs no se puede apreciar el sonido, pero una vez que aprietas el "cosito", hará el característico sonido "pop" (que es cuando se abre el gancho) y al hacer lo mismo del otro lado, volverá a sonar (cerrando el gancho). Si ustedes son como yo, que necesitan tener algo en la mano cuando están fuera de casa o en momentos de nervios, cargar un antiestrés en el bolsillo puede ser una buena opción 😇
