Hello, my lovely friends!
We meet again in my happy space. Today is a Saturday morning, brighter than usual because it's a day off, giving me no time to rush anywhere. This allows me to leisurely care for my family and beloved pets.
β¨ Start your day with a refreshing touch from the backyard! This morning, I'm starting with a healthy option: fragrant coconut water. The special thing about it is that it's the result of my own hard work, planting the coconuts myself 3-4 years ago. Today, those coconut trees have given me the gift of the sweetest, most fragrant, and most refreshing water. The taste is so different from the ones you buy in the market. Every sip is filled with pride and freshness.
π³ A Warm Breakfast in a Time of Slower Moving Time
After refueling myself, it was time to prepare breakfast for the family. Today I made egg and toast, filling the kitchen with its delicious aroma. It came with a hot coffee for my husband and some tasty bread for my daughter. The joy of a weekend morning is not having to rush. We sit around the table together, eat, watch the news on TV, and chat unhurriedly. It's a short but wonderful time to recharge our spirits.
β€οΈ A Test of Patience and Love: My most important duty every morning is taking care of my mother-in-law. Lately, feeding her has required a great deal of sensitivity and patience. I have to use a syringe to feed her little by little because she's starting to have difficulty swallowing. Sometimes she'll hold the food in her mouth for a long time, so I have to gently nudge her by touching her chest or stroking her hand to make her aware and chew slowly.
Even though she doesn't communicate much verbally, every glance and calling her name constantly conveys that I'm here and ready to take care of her as best I can. Although it's tiring at times, seeing her eat makes all the tiredness disappear. (Daughter-in-law)
π¦ A Garden Tour on a Motorbike: Animal Care Mission After taking care of the family at home, my husband and I hopped in our trusty motorbike and headed straight to the garden. The sun was blazing today, but the air was incredibly refreshing. Our main mission was to feed the ducks, chickens, geese, and the fish that were waiting for us. Today, I explored the garden in search of treasure (fresh eggs). Even though I only found two, it was a bonus of happiness for me today. Before heading home, we had to rush to check on the plumbing work in front of the house to help the young plumbers.
For some, their holidays might be spent traveling far away, but for me, happiness is within reach, right here in my old home and this little garden. Thank you for all your support and for following my story. See you again in the next entry!
