Dear Steemers,
The more time I spend on Steemit, the more I understand the platform extends its purposes in many dimensions.
The content of Steemit makes THE PLATFORM to be Google, Youtube, Wikipedia, Encyclopedia, Crypto guide, Facebook, Twitter... ALL IN ONE!
I find it hard sometimes to write a good post. A good post means all of these together. Creativity, reflection and information all in one. What adds value to Steemit more than the others is the fact that here you can express yourself in one post.
Today I would like you to experience lake Ohrid and its sorroundings through my lens.
The lake lies in the border between Macedonia and Albania.
It is one of Europe's oldest lakes, but also one of the deepest. It preserves a worldwide important unique aquatic ecosystem and contains more than 200 endemic species.
This picture is taken by me on the macedonian side of the lake, on the top of a very pictoresque scenery.
The lake was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.
In 2010, NASA named it Titan's lake.
In 2014, the reserve was an addition to UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The lakeside towns are Pogradec ( Albania) & Ohrid and Struga (Macedonia).
The water can bring us calmness, right? For me water means peace of mind, motivation, and most of all... creativity.
In case you are interested in learning more about the rare lake charachteristics, feel free to comment and ask questions ☺
Love to all steemers out there!
Keep on Steeming for a better future xxx
