Hello, dear Steemians!π
Today, let me tell you a little something more about myself.
I grew up in the landlocked province of Nueva Vizcaya where you are surrounded by the longest mountain range in the Philippines, the Sierra Madre.
The closest beaches to our town are in Baler, which is a 5-hour drive, and Sta. Ana Beach in Cagayan, a 7 to 8-hour drive. Up to this time, we also do not have any fancy Malls like the ones we have here in the City.
During the hot summer days when we were young, instead of having the pleasure of swimming in the beach or going to the malls, my cousins and I would find ourselves enjoying in the clean and long and winding Cagayan River that passes through our little town, also the longest river in the Philippines.
Instead of making "sand castles", we would make "mud-castles".
Instead of strolling around the malls to cool down, we would be under the trees or the bridges to find a little shade and enjoy the cool breeze with the river in our view.
And instead of spending for tokens for the arcade claw machines, we would be catching tadpoles or little crabs to play with for free!
Ahh, the good old days!πππ
Looking back now, I'm pretty glad we didn't have the beach or the malls, as we got to enjoy a little piece of nature that is now difficult to find. I barely see kids from our town playing in the river anymore, maybe because of you know, technology, but I will not talk about that here.π π π
So here, have a look of the river I love:
This is also my entry for 's Landscape Photography Contest.
See you again on my next post!

P.S. I love the beach, reason why I said I'm glad we didn't have the beach before is because they are still easier to find now than a decent river.π
