Maybe a man doesn´t even think about power until he achieves some. 

Today I´ve broken the 10,000 Steem Power barrier. What an incredible milestone!
Every single tiny piece of that power has been earned exclusively by blogging, commenting, interacting on this platform.

So this is for the new users: YES - your voice is worth something on steemit!
Be patient, consistent, curious and: be kind. Then things will magically fall into place :)

Here is what I am planning to do with my newly acquired influence.

The meaning of power

With great power comes great responsibility. - Voltaire

That´s why it is even more important to think about how power might be used and on which purpose. The more influence we acquire the more possibilites we have to implement goals - and to implement CHANGE. 

Then there are supposedly two options: whether we try to increment our own benefits or we apply power in order to improve the general wealth. I think we can´t have both at the same time. 

Here is my interpretation of power and one idea how to use it:

"Hi Steemians! This is a very special day for me, because I´ve just broken through that huge 10K Steem Power wall - yeah! And it´s just been by blogging, huh - no cash here. So I´d like to celebrate that moment with you. What does influence or power mean? Well there is this great quote from Mahatma Gandhi saying: Be the change you wanna see in the world. 

So the more power or influence we acquire the more possibilities we gain to implement these changes we wanna see in the world. And if there is one I´d like to personally see in the world, then it´s the following: 

More kindness, more respect, and more love. 

So treat others like you wanna be treated, say hello to people, and... be awesome! Just.... be! Be the change you wanna see in the world and.. be a good one. Have a nice day and steem on!"

No act of kindness, respect or love is ever wasted. The more power we acquire the more responsibility we carry. Influencers are role models, their behavior is multiply imitated. So from my point of view, whatever type of power we achieve we should be careful when using it. 

It furthermore may be always preferrable applying power in order to improve many people´s situation in order to only avail oneself of that opportunity. 

In the end life becomes only real fun if we can share the pleasure with others.
