- Be enthusiastic.
About everything.
Anything you want to learn about, anything you care about, anything you care to do...
Show people how fun it can be, to be open minded and communicate well with others.
- Invest in yourself!
If you believe in Steemit, buy some SP.
Whatever you can afford, and whatever you think is a reasonable apportionment for your investment roster of diversification.
I purchased a bit of SP, the first week I joined steemit, because the price was pretty low and I assumed it would be going up.
It seemed like such a great investment!
If I purchase $10,000 USD in STEEM @ $1, then steem goies to $2, how much is that investment worth now?
- Curate!
Comment a lot on other people's posts. Anything that's worth reading, may be worth commenting on.
Read a lot of NEW POSTS, right off the press. You can come back later and comment, and you can upvote it after it's 30 minutes old if you want to keep more of your upvote steem.
If you leave a good comment, and encourage the author, feel free to upvote them, and yourself. You have my permission.
But it's starting to become agreed, a person should not upvote themselves any more than they upvote others, so that might look like 50/50 to some. This seems like a reasonable outlook to me personally, other's may not agree...
Spread it around, share the love ;-)
- Write great posts.
Do your homework, don't slack.. read 10 other articles on steemit that cover the same subject and see what they say. Be better than all the other 10 posts, in your post!
Maybe you don't include a lot of images or custom graphics, but make your posts readable. Use paragraphs. Use new lines. Use punctuation. Have something to say. Don't be too long winded. Make your points, give your references, show some links to other author's posts that go into more detail in a given area.
Use lists! They are simply easier to read and grasp by other users:
point A
point B
point C
FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE!
I see WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE not filling in their profile. You need to tell others a little bit about yourself, so they will want to follow you, right?!
- Use common tags as your main tag.
If you don't get read, you won't be recognized by the system.
Use common tags.
Use appropriate tags.
Use new tags if you think a new tag should exist, as your last tags listed.
