Walking between the pyramids in Mexico, just outside Mexico City, is an unbelivable experience! It's hard to get a grasp on wondering how many workers, and how many hours, days, weeks, months, years it took to build these amazing pyramids!
Pyramid del Luna
The picture above is my wife at the bottom of "Pyramid del Luna" - meaning "Pyramid of the moon". This is the second largest pyramid in Mexico. It takes a few minutes to walk to the top, depending on your health. But it's definately worth it.
To get an impression on how steep it actually is to climb, take a look at this:
Remember, this is around 2000 meters above sea-level, so the air is pretty thin. And I had to carry our 4 year old girl most of the way to the top, around 250 steps!
The view from the top
As you can see, the view is pretty amazing!
You should..
I believe that the pyramids, either in Mexico or Egypt is on everybody's bucketlist, and it should be! This is an amazing thing to experience. If you have the chance, you have to do this!
Thank you for joining me on this 60 seconds trip to the pyramids in Mexico!
Happy traveling!
(I apoligize for the picture quality on these pictures. It was back in 2005, and I did not have a very good camera..)
