You'll hear lots of commentators and preppers saying how bad the next economic collapse will be, and that society may fall apart.
Unlikely.
If you think about economic collapses in the past, this has rarely happened. In fact you have to really go back to the French Revolution for a period when mob rule really took over in a developed nation.
The real possibility is that services will break down so there will be a move to more general lawlessness, rather than wholesale looting. Think about something like Victotian London before the modern police force was invented.
So if it isn't so bad you need to hide away in your cabin with your tins of food, but it is definitely more dangerous, what can you do?
This is why you need karate. It gives you a chance to defend yourself if you're attacked, and also teaches you to be aware and avoid dangerous situations. It will allow you to go out and be safer than if you were untrained and just hoping to get by. Obviously if you come up against an armed assailant it isn't as useful, but I don't think that type of societal collapse is coming.
It is interesting that many of the people talking about the economic collapse always talk about gold and silver stacking etc. but never mention learning to defend yourself. Don't you think this is a bit strange? And it isn't even that hard to learn. So why not take this easy precaution?
