Malindo Air will open new flights from the Kuala Lumpur Subang Skypark Airport city center to Silangit International Airport, Lake Toba, North Sumatra, starting August 17, 2018.
According to a Malindo Air press release in Kuala Lumpur, Wednesday (08/08/2018), promotional rates are offered for 189 Malaysian Ringgit or around USD 48 one way.
OD 360 flights from Subang to Siborong-Borong, the location of Silangit International Airport is scheduled to depart at 13.45 local time. Flight for one hour 30 minutes will arrive in Siborong-borong at 14.15 pm local time.
Flight OD361 will then depart at 14.50 local time and arrive in Subang at 17.15 local time. This route will be operated by ATR72-600 aircraft consisting of 72 passengers.
Malindo Air's CEO, Chandran Rama Muthy, said he was proud to introduce the third city of Malindo flights to Indonesia.
"We are very excited to introduce the third city we fly from Subang to Indonesia, after Batam and Pekanbaru. This marks our ongoing efforts to expand our route network to North Sumatra, as a result of our collaboration with the Indonesian Tourism Agency to promote ecotourism destinations, "he said.
Departure from Subang Skypark directly to the city where Lake Toba is located, according to Chandran Rama Muthy, is the main advantage where passengers will enjoy easy access to tourism icons in North Sumatra.
"15 kg free baggage will add more value to tourists in terms of cost effectiveness," he added.
