[ The City ]
With planes flying overhead to the airport a few kilometers away. The area was mostly bland-suburbia with homes ranging from poor to middle class homes in the various neighborhoods surrounding Rexdale Boulevard + Highway 27 in Toronto, Ontario.
Nearby there was Humber College, North Campus, Woodbine Racetrack + Casino, Woodbine Centre and Fantasy Fair. Some random Strip Malls. Thanks to Humber College there was also the Arboretum or the Arb as everyone liked to call it. Some Parkland. A library, grocery store, a few restaurants. But overall it felt like everything was spread apart. I loved having a bike, or rollerblades... everything was always space out, far apart. Often feeling desolate.
I was really thankful for the parkland there and the arb, because otherwise that place would have probably driven me crazy. And even still, even with it being such a bleak place, somehow, I still feel nostalgic over it
