I am a new to be here and
Let me introduce my self formally, I am Tadesse from Africa Ethiopia/Lalibela, My friend @Josh helped me to become a member of this platform.
I should thank my Friend josh for guiding me here to make my self-introduced as a new member and giving the guidance on newbies guide.
Ethiopia, the country on the Horn of Africa. The country lies completely within the tropical latitudes and is relatively compact, with similar north-south and east-west dimensions. The capital is Addis Ababa (“New Flower”), located almost at the centre of the country. Ethiopia is the largest and most populated country in the Horn of Africa.
I'm not sure if you heard or read about A year of conflict in Ethiopia, Africa’s second most populous country and a linchpin of regional security, has left thousands dead, forced more than two million people from their homes that including me and my families and pushed parts of the country into famine.
There are many things I would like to do and share at my free times, If I name them about the historical places, our Ethiopia Traditions both cultural and modern that I have learnt crocheting in life I should say it is an interesting thing to do.
And i want say some words about the place where i live in Lalibela, In a mountainous region in the heart of Ethiopia some 645 km from Addis Ababa, eleven medieval monolithic churches were carved out of rock. Their building is attributed to King Lalibela who set out to construct in the 12th century as a ‘New Jerusalem’, after Muslim conquests halted Christian pilgrimages to the holy Land. Lalibela flourished after the decline of the Aksum Empire, you may have been so many places for a visiting but the curving that you can't find anything like this in the rest of the world and promise i will share some lovely pictures of the beautiful churches!
