I don't know how many people here tried to learn Chinese and how many actually succeed but I believe that's the language we all should learn.
I personally enjoyed learning mandarin Chinese, it wasn't easy, actually quite hard but it feels great now that I can actually speak it fluently.
Why should you learn mandarin?
I could just answer with one word: China but I actually want to tell you what's behind that word (pretty sure everyone already know what I'm about to say).
- The second biggest economy in the world, probably number one in 10 years
- biggest population in the world with 1.4 billion people
- Thousands of years of history and interesting culture
If that's not enough for you I'll give you two more reasons:
- They are taking over
- If you already speak English and/or a European language why would you learn a language that is so similar to yours? Learning mandarin Chinese is a challenge, learning Spanish or French ain't that hard if you are a native English speaker.
Alright you convinced me. So how hard is it actually?
Look ain't gonna lie to you, it is pretty hard because it's a tonal language and the characters are all different but it's not as hard as most people think, there are actually other languages in China that are more difficult than mandarin Chinese, Cantonese or Minnan come to my min.
Anyway believe me just do it you won't regret it, 加油。
