It's funny all the ideas we hold dear growing up. Our parents do everything in their power to shape us to be our most ideal and disciplined selves and we are exactly and think we will always be that...until...
The first taste of what freedom looks like always has a way of intoxicating a person. That freedom, of course, comes at different stages for different people. For some, they get it in their childhood, for some, it can be as late as their young adult ages. Either way, when it does come, the intoxication can make one do stupid things. In a way, it helps you to see a side of you that has been suppressed by years of moral conditioning. You find yourself doing things you never thought you will do. For some, they can navigate that intoxication from the first taste of freedom. So, what are the things I have never done, despite my freedom from my parents and daily moral conditioning?
Never Have I Ever
Drank Alcohol
I grew up in a home where my parents were hardly ever religious. All the morals instilled in me and my siblings came from a place of personal family pride. I learned early on that alcohol was bad and if to be perverted, it was for men, not women and/or children. My parent were also disciplinarians without compromise. So we learned early on, not to defy them. So, I grew up staying away from anything alcoholic to date. I still can't bring myself to drink any alcohol, whatever the concentration or brand.
Had Sex
For most guys, this will be one to be ashamed of in today's world where morals generally and sexual abstinence are mocked. As I said, my parents were not religious but they had morals and they ensured we the children were religious by sending us off to church three times a week. So, between them and the Bible studies, I learnt that sex was a product of marriage and it's to be honoured as such. To have and before marriage was a form of robbery from your future spouse. That's what I came to believe, so I still believe. So, never did that.

This one has always been a no for me on multiple grounds; my family's disappointment, my health(lungs) and my religious inclinations.
Harass/Abuse A Lady
From what you have read above, you can easily tell that I won't do this kind of thing.
Won An Award
I'm generally one to shine in anything I do, but I also generally hate spotlights. Everywhere I find myself, I tend to do a lot to contribute but in the background, the dark spots, where my effort can't be seen or quantified. As a result, someone always beats me to the spotlight.
Corrected My Teacher
I can boldly say whatever student group I find myself in, I'm always one of the brightest. But that's a thing you only come to know after the results for a session comes out. I'm also an introvert, so I talk very little unless forced to. So you can imagine someone who barely talks at all, correcting a teacher in a Nigerian educational strong. That's not me, ever.
I should leave it here. I have added a lie or two. Can you spot it?
