For this post, I'm going to share about my outing with the two ladies (my Mum and my Sister) last Sunday. We almost cancelled our outing as the sky outside with dark clouds and expected heavy rain in the afternoon. I said to the two ladies if they don't want to go out, 
We went to Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran for coconut drinks and grilled clams that offered by many stalls there. This place is also one of the famous tourist attractions in Sabah for people to visit.
Actually, we can get coconut drinks and grilled clams in any shop or restaurant nearby my house. However, we still go to Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran for 40 minutes car drive from home. This is due to only that place that I knew offered Kelapa Bakar or Burnt Coconut. I haven't tried on Kelapa Bakar in my life before.
On our way to our destination, the rain started, but not heavy rain.
No specific parking in that area and usually full of cars parked at the roadside just beside the stalls. Maybe, we reached our destination earlier, we managed to get to park our car in one go.
Many stalls offered the same goods. My Sister and I let my Mum decide which stall we will go in. As usual, my Mum likes to survey all the stalls that are available in a location, then in the end ask our opinion on which stall to choose 😂. This time, I suggested we better select the stalls nearby the car we had parked and must have Kelapa Bakar.
Coconut on fire 🔥. That is Kelapa Bakar I search for.
We select a stall that serves all types of food that we can enjoy on. Of course, our car just parked in front of this stall. We spent some time walking (exercising) around the Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran area, and we end up stopping at our starting point.
We start digging in on cold coconut pudding as that was the first menu being served to us.
Not only coconut puddings, other flavours of puddings were also available in the stall. We just select my Mum's favourite yam pudding and don't want to make a second order of another flavour of pudding. Why? Because the non-coconut pudding was too sweet 😖.
Cold refreshing coconut drinks that we like to drink especially in hot weather. Currently, we enjoy coconut drinks during cloudy weather.
This is the highlight that I want to try the most, Kelapa Bakar or Burnt Coconut. The waiter told me to drink this Kelapa Bakar with a spoon as the Kelapa Bakar's juice was hot. It's like enjoying a warm coconut soup with soft coconut meat. In my opinion, Kelapa Bakar is suitable to enjoy on a rainy day with cold weather.
Our next menu is grilled honey chicken. The grilled honey chicken is more delicious when eating it together with the sweet chilli sauce.
Grilled clams, the last menu that the waiter serve us. In Sabah, we called this as Lokan Bakar.
I let my Mum and Sister eat the grilled clams. I'm not into it as it does not suit my taste. When they're done eating the grilled clams, I'm joking and said that should we takeaway the shell to make a shell necklace at home ðŸ¤.
Other foods such as a variety type of Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng offer in this stall too. We did not make any food orders as our stomachs were already full from the food and drinks we ordered as mentioned above.
No E-wallet payment is available for this stall. We only can do a bank online transfer to the stall owner's bank account or pay cash when making payment after the meal.
Before leaving Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran location, we did not forget to buy snacks or Keropok Ubi to eat at home later.
It's a heavy downpour when we reach to 1Borneo Shopping Mall for our next outing location.
When we were having our shopping in the mall, my Sister said we might stuck inside the mall because many places outside had been flooded with rainwater.
My Mum just replied to us, we just stayed at one of the hotels in this shopping mall to stay overnight 🤣.
We did not stay for a night in the shopping mall. My Sister drives slowly with a bit of flood water on the road and went back home safely at 7.00 pm at night.
