Hello everyone 👧.
22.12.22, Thursday, my family and I celebrated Winter Solstice Celebration or in Chinese we call it this day as Dong Zhi 冬至. In my country, there is no public holiday for this celebration, so I have to work during the day. We have a meal only at night to celebrate this celebration.
My Mum prepared four of the dinner dishes, except for the Steamed Five-Spice Pork Belly with Yam. This dish was our family favorite dish and I bought it from my friend who just recently opened a new business just nearby my workplace. Thus, we have five dishes for dinner.
The four other dishes cooked by my Mum were Steamed Pork, Sweet and Sour Sliced Fish, Mixed Vegetables and Corn Soup with Egg Gravy. We ate these dishes with fragrant purple rice.

Tang Yuan 汤圆 or Chinese Glutinous Rice is a traditional dessert for the Winter Solstice Celebration. As my Mum is busy caring for my father, who has been ill for a week, and cooking dinner for the family, she forgot to make this dessert. I make this dessert right after dinner since it's very easy and not time consuming to make it.
I already bought Tang Yuan from my friend along with the Steamed Five-Spice Pork Belly with Yam that I bought from her. The Tang Yuan here is not a plain Tang Yuan, but a cute cartoon-style mini Tang Yuan.
As for Tang Yuan's broth, I boil water with brown sugar in a cooking pot. Next, I add the sago and Tang Yuan to the boiled brown sugar broth.

The Tang Yuan with sweet broth must be stirred periodically so that it does not stick together, but gently so as not to ruin it with cute cartoon faces. It took me only 15 minutes to cooked this Tang Yuan dessert.

It's so cute that my Sister said she felt sad for devouring this cartoon face of Tang Yuan. By the way, this Tang Yuan was without filling (such as red bean paste) and tasteless.

That's all. Thanks for reading my post 🤗.
