We bought our home!
Yes, it’s ugly, I know.
It's a pity, but we cant live in this house. Thank you, Bitcoin) Now we do not have money to repair the house. Crazy, crazy exchange rate)
It does not matter! We will hope for the best)
We were really excited about making an offer on it, but it was a short sale. A short sale is a property where the owner owes more on it than it’s worth, so they are trying to sell it “short” meaning their mortgage company has agreed to settle their debt for less than is owed because the property has dropped in value. In addition, there was a room on the second floor that was gutted and stripped down to the studs. As we learned, most banks won’t finance a conventional mortgage on a house that has a gutted room … for now, just understand that those two unique circumstances combined made for a stressful and drawn out closing process. More stressful even than planning a life!
After all was said and done, we were finally able to close on July 27th 2017! Woo hoo! And now the renovations begin!
So far we will do it with our own hands without money :)
Built in 1954, the house is a 1 story, 63 sq without toilet and bathroom.
It’s a real mixed bag of features, but when we are all done it will be refreshed and beautiful instead of the eyesore it is now.
Stay tuned for updates on renovation, and all the before and after photos!
