Apart from Thai architectures in two Thai temples that you can see if you visit Suphanburi, Thailand, as I mentioned in my two previous posts, there is another amazing architecture with Chinese style, called “Dragon descendants museum”. or "Heavenly Dragon Park". It is a place that keeps a lot of histories describing about ancient Chinese people who migrated to Thailand in the old days. You will learn from the exhibition that our Thai people had closed relationship with Chinese people in the past till present. Besides, you will understand Chinese culture which is very interesting!
According to ancient Chinese people, dragon is a symbol of power. They also believe that it’s a sacred animal of God in the heaven and everyone who worship the dragon will have a lot of happiness and wealth.
Therefore, the building was constructed as a giant “Golden Dragon”. This is famous as, “the largest dragon building in the world”. The dragon is amazing and magnificent with bright colors. It looks lively as if it just came from the heaven…
The heavenly dragon can be seen in the far distance due to its huge shape. It looks much more elegant with the bright blue sky, white clouds and green trees, right? ;))
Moreover, the dragon is surrounded with beautiful green garden and many interesting statues….
If you would love to see a great view of the dragon, you can climb up the stairs of the towers nearby the area….
From there, you will also see those buildings that are decorated with small dragons beautifully in Chinese architecture styles. The colorful pillar with dragon is outstanding and wonderful, too!
I think this is the place that you must not miss if you visit Thailand. ;)
