I have been pretty out spoken on many things over the last year and I have been pretty transparent yet, some people who perhaps don't actually read my content make some assumptions. For example, when I was joking about selling everything I had for Steem and powering up in chat last night, someone suggested I delegate to a bot instead.
Now, I of course can't flag the bidbots, what good would it do? If however I could reduce the incentives to use them or get rid of them completely I would. I am not going to find all the examples but, here are a few where I speak about them:

Great.
Now, some hours ago someone transferred 4 SBD to a bidbot (Jerry Banfield's) and bought a vote for me. Thanks, they must have loved the content of my last post.
I actually didn't realise the vote came in until many hours later but, there it is. What made me check was that had also voted last night on a Helsing post from a couple days ago and then I saw on Steemnow.com another (much smaller) vote and then one from postpromoter and upme. Why would he use his bots?
I actually messaged a good and knowing friend I trust on the platform to say that something weird is going on and someone is taking the piss. Pretty funny... So, then I checked my wallet in case I had been sleepwalking and actually did it myself and there was this:
BTW, I do not know what 'Love GC' means, so if you could transfer me another 1 SBD over from Bittrex to explain it, that would be great.
Firstly, what will I do with it? Probably power it up as it is relatively insignificant but perhaps when I delegate it out to someone, they will be able to use it. Of course, if wants to remove the vote, I don't mind either but the 4 SBD goes to waste. Personally, buying some Steem with it seems the only good option. Maybe I will donate it.. Who knows.
Self-voting, alts, and family are the same as Haejin. Really?
~3 months ago - Taking Delegation
~2 months ago - giving up delegation?
26 days ago - The community/self split in free delegation?
My self-vote percentage has been creeping up lately and sits around 40%. The reason it has creeped up is two-fold, the price of Steem and that I am trying to get my VP toward 100 so I don't drop down into the low 70s anymore (Almost there). Oh, I pay for my delegation by the way, 100 STEEM per week so the price of steem and the conversion from SBD matters. Curation returns about 35-40 STEEM and what I self vote covers the rest because I convert the SBD to STEEM. Yep, I can still make a bit of profit and share the rest out.
Oh Family? Yes, I vote on them too, and my alts. Oh, I also delegate 6000 of my own STEEM Power out to people. In the last week I think I have voted about 550 times and on over 200 different accounts. Around 50% of my vote value doesn't go to family or alts (,
). Btw, When smallsteps reaches 1000 SP, that little girl will lose her delegation and will trail my account I think.
In the last year or so I have handed out 22,000 upvotes and considering that I have 1350 posts and don't upvote my comments, that is quite a few going to other people who are not me.
As said, I have been pretty open with my journey here and even though I have probably a few bones laying around, overall I am pretty consistently doing what I can for the community and, I am relatively certain that there are many people here who would likely feel that I have helped them in some way along their own journey. I know that there is a debt I owe to people for helping me and, I generally pay it forward.
For me, there are two reasons, I want to grow.
Firstly, I want to be able to look after myself, my family, my daughter and get a return on the massive amounts of work I put into this platform in many different ways. I think everyone is entitled to get something out.
Secondly, I have onboarded about 20-30 people in the last 6 months, most in the last 3. I am delegating to 21 non-family people currently, some because of a delegation contest I ran, some because they are new and I want to support them through the start, some because they needed it, some because they are wide roaming curators. I want to do more of this in the future and have the power to help them be strong members of the community.
So, how about this, I am pretty sure I know who you are but, how about stop with the passive aggressiveness and just transfer from your own account? Where is the cost to you? I am not going to flag you because you disagree with me, I am not going to shame you or anything of the sort as I am open in my actions, even when they amounted in failures or where based on bad information at the time.

I understand that being outspoken comes with a certain amount of targeting. I understand that not everyone agrees with my views or how I act. I understand that most people in this world are not going to like me. I understand all this.
For the last year or so, my journey here has twisted and turned, had ups and downs, periods of high support and long periods of close to zero. Every day I spend between 8 and 12 hours mostly writing with a few hours in chat.
I run a one-person business, I have an 18 month old daughter with severe allergies and a wife who is a full-time student at a university in another city. I sleep on average 4 hours a night with a 15 minute nap after work, I then spend a few hours with my family and after my daughter goes to bed, I begin writing.
I am open, how about you?
One more piece to leave you with perhaps.
