I am trying to get used to taking video on my camera but I am not doing such a great job, I think i need a stabiliser. I have never really done much videoing before but I have some things I would like to attempt with it but need a lot of practice.
This is from the lake near by where I live and it is possible to walk on already around the edges but, I am not so game to take my camera swimming so didn't venture out. After the next cold snap, it should be enough.
I also took a few photos and in editing added a little warmth to the focal points. Meh, not a big fan but it is worth playing around with different styles and settings at times to see what comes up. Too often we get stuck in our habits and end up not venturing too far from our metaphorical (and often literal) homes.
Lately, I have been thinking about ways I can push myself in slightly different directions and build upon some skills. Even the failures hold lessons and can be used to plan the next moves.
Anyone trying to improve a skill and willing to offer up their methodology? Learning is also somewhere we often do on habit even if our results are not what we want them to be. Listening to others ideas can help open new pathways of improvement that were not considered before.
Anyway, failure or not, it is fun to play around with the camera. It seems all too rare these days.
