I am so grateful for what is unfolding.
The Age of Abundance is entering our lives and STEEM is one of the main entities that is ushering it in. Cryptocurrency is going to change the world since it is taking the monetary system from one based upon scarcity to one of abundance.
Each day, 60K Steemians conduct transactions on here. That means all these people are earning STEEM of varying amounts. Over time, with all that is in the works, I believe most of those people will really be uplifted through this token.
I joined STEEM in August after hearing about it at a Manna gathering (Grantcoin at that time). My number was somewhere around 318,000 (too lazy to look it up). In about 9 months, we saw that number tripled. That is fairly reasonable growth for something that still uses a manual approval system.
One of the greatest benefits to cryptocurrency is that it provides alternatives. Since it is such a new industry, most of us are still in the position where we are amassing tokens. Until the prices move up significantly higher, we are looking at a monetary status quo in terms of our daily lives. That said, many of us see the potential starting to form. At some point, I believe the pricing of cryptocurrency will reflect the activity that is taking place.
I just read a study that concluded there are between 3.1M-5.8M cryptocurrency users total. If this estimate is true, it is mind boggling. Bitcoin and Ethereum both have tens of millions of wallets yet we all know there are many wallets set up and not used. Personally, I probably set up 10-15 paper Bitcoin wallets over the years...ones that are not used at all. Thus, the estimate could be in the ballpark.
Being on STEEM today means one is an early adopter. Not only are there only 1M accounts, Steemit only had about 250K daily visitors. With only 60K conducting transactions on a regular basis, this means we are really only at the start of all this.
I believe cryptocurrency and blockchain are going to change the world. This evolution is going to be much bigger than what we experienced with the Internet. Some of the developments of today are only glimpses into the potential. A decade from now, if things unfold as I expect them, we are all going to be truly amazed.
It is such a blessing to be in this position. I feel so many are passing up the biggest opportunity of their lives simply because they discount what they hear about cryptocurrency. My personal belief is they will kick themselves in the pants at a certain point. Being an early adopter has a ton of advantages.
Every single SP that goes into one's account increases the value of it. While it might not be that impressive at $3, the potential for STEEM is much higher. Over time, STEEM is going to be harder to acquire. As more people post, the daily reward pool will be diluted. This is one of the things that is going to push the price of STEEM higher. STEEM is going to be in demand. Those with it will benefit from the price action that I am certain is going to follow.
1M accounts is impressive but, in reality, it is nothing. The online world is presently about 3.4B people. When looking at the growth potential, we all can see how much bigger numbers still will not dent anything. In social media, 50M or 100M is a mere drop in the bucket.
There is no reason for fear and anger to persist. Everyone should be filled with optimism. Whatever brought you to cryptocurrency was looking out for you. This is the opportunity that few in the history of the world have seen. Humanity is going to be uplifted and the early adopters are leading the way.
Most will not listen at this point. I promise you, as we move into the Age of Abundance, and the world becomes tokenized, they will arrive here. Of course, they will be no different than we are. I noticed that whenever we arrived, we wish we were here 6 months or a year sooner. No matter. We are early enough.
STEEM is a microcosm of cryptocurrency in general and it is a total blessing in my life. I can honestly say that my life is genuinely altered because of it. For this, I have eternal gratitude.
A financial future that was once filled with uncertainty is now crystal clear. The opportunities within the cryptocurrency realm are almost endless. We are going to see projects in the future that put money in the hands of millions of people. The world suddenly has unlimited financing available. That is what abundance is all about.
I try to live that with STEEM.

The children's story about slaying the golden goose is more than just a bedtime story. It is a parable we should all keep in mind. The blockchain is eternal, hence what we post cannot be undone. Is that something that positively reflects upon what is taking place here? What if your article or comment was the only exposure to STEEM that one got? What if your words or video discouraged someone from their opportunity of a lifetime?
As we start on the next 1M Steemians, we all know there are things that need to be altered. Nobody claims that Steemit is a perfect system. We can do better. There is a lot of things in the works which should help greatly. This is what I try to focus upon.
I will admit that my research and understanding of technological trends helps a great deal. I try to convey this in my writing to give others insight into what I come across. It is safe to say the way the world operates today is going to be vastly different in 10 years. There are 15 different technologies that all will be converging (some already are) that will radically change almost everything. This is what they mean when they say the word "exponential".
In closing, I want to thank you all who read my posts and take the time to comment upon them. I found the greatest asset STEEM has is the community. There is a core group who is honestly concerned about the situation humanity finds itself in. We know that the resources are emerging where we can help to alter the future for millions. This is very powerful.
It is because of your feedback that I take the time to dig into white papers and technical pages to find out what is going on.
